Emotional Health Week, Together for Well-Being

Emotional Health Week, Together for Well-Being

Emotional Health Week is a national event that brings forward the importance of socio-emotional health in schools, as well as its role in education and its impact on the students’ harmonious development. InIm Institute organizes the event and it is designed to raise awareness of the need for well-being in school. Emotional Health Week’s third edition will occur from June 6 to June 9, 2023, under the motto “Together for Well-Being”.

Each year has a new theme, based on the current needs and trends in education. The 2023 theme, “Let’s Connect”, has been chosen to raise awareness of the need for belonging, which promotes well-being and socio-emotional health in classrooms and schools. When students learn in a safe space, both physically and emotionally, they develop a sense of belonging. This, in turn, generates the necessary learning environment for the development of emotional resilience that leads to academic performance.

The first edition brought together a significant number of participants. Around 25.000 teachers and students took part in the event, which included various activities aimed at the teachers and students’ well-being.

The second edition of 2022 was a real success as well. Social media reports have shown that around 4.500 teachers and 90.000 students have participated in the last edition, information that reached the parents as well.

Daily challenges

This annual program encourages all teachers to take action and to bring joy and motivation in classrooms. The five challenges of Emotional Health Week are a guideline to create the best learning and self-discovering environment for children and students.

  • Tuesday – Green for Well-Being. We go on a self-discovering journey and connect with others by wearing green.
  • Wednesday – Music and Sounds for Well-Being- we connect with ourselves and our colleagues in a world of sounds- listen to or create music, exercise.
  • Thursday – Well-Being Gratitude- we connect with ourselves and others through words and acts of service that matter
  • Friday – Harmony and Kindness for Well-Being – we connect with ourselves and our colleagues on a day of joy, celebrating well-being through all our senses.

This year, we aim to reward the participating teachers and students! To participate in the competition, it is necessary to choose one of the categories below for which you want to register and complete the activity on any of the days from June 6 to June 9, 2023. The activity selected for participation in the competition by teachers is equivalent to completing a challenge.
