An Unexpected but Meaningful Beginning
Her journey began three years ago when she took over an athletics club by chance. At first, there were only a few children, but their energy and enthusiasm were enough to turn this small group into a tight-knit team. More than just training and competitions, the club became a place where children felt safe, encouraged, and valued.
“I saw ambition, determination, and motivation in the children’s eyes, all combined with the guidance and trust I offered unconditionally. Sports gave them the courage to believe in themselves.”
Well-being Beyond the Playing Field
Participating in their first competitions was the moment when the children gained confidence. When they won their first medals, they understood that every effort matters. This confidence extended to the classroom as well – Larisa’s students became not just champions in sports but also in academics.
“Sports helped them become more disciplined, more motivated, and more emotionally balanced. It’s not just about running faster or jumping higher, but also about learning to manage emotions, support teammates, and push past your limits.”
For her dedication, Larisa has been recognized with the Honorary Sports Award and the Excellence in Sports Award, but for her, the greatest reward remains the impact she has on her students.
“The most important thing for me is knowing that my students leave training feeling more confident, happier, and better prepared to face life’s challenges.”
Larisa Chiriță proves that sports are not just about competition – they are about well-being, connection, and personal growth.
