The “Teacher’s Well-Being: A Conscious Journey” program involved an integrative group intervention targeting educators seeking to improve their emotional well-being. Encompassing 36 hours of theoretical training and practical applications, the intervention incorporated exercises grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as elements of positive psychology. The program’s effectiveness was assessed quantitatively, using the Psychological Wellbeing Scale applied to 566 participating teachers, and qualitatively, through semi-structured interviews with 22 educators who volunteered to share their experiences.
The analysis results revealed significant improvements across all six dimensions of the scale following the intervention: autonomy, confidence and control over the environment, personal growth, relationships with others, purpose in life, and self-acceptance. Additionally, the interviews indicated that the program helped teachers develop empathetic communication, relationship-building, and emotional management skills, which they applied both in their personal lives and in their interactions with students. Future plans aim to scale the resources and intervention to reach more underserved populations.
